What the game is
A construction and management simulation where players act as theme park entrepreneurs, completing 21 preset scenarios by building and maintaining amusement parks.
How it actually plays
Players assemble small, individual components — track tiles, staff roles, terrain edits, ride types — into larger park systems. Each session is a loop of surveying guest needs, placing amenities, adjusting ride stats, hiring and assigning staff, and tweaking terrain to fit coasters. The tile-based coaster builder forces incremental decisions: direction, height, steepness, element placement. Scenarios demand specific financial or popularity targets within fixed time or budget constraints.
What works
The Lego-like component system works: every coaster piece, staff role, and terrain edit has clear, immediate mechanical consequences. The scenario structure gives purpose without narrative. Hiring handymen, mechanics, security, and entertainers creates distinct, visible subsystems. Modifying terrain and adding water lets coasters integrate meaningfully into landscapes.
What does not
It does not simulate crowd psychology beyond basic pathfinding or queue logic. It does not model weather, seasonal shifts, or long-term economic feedback beyond ticket pricing and upkeep costs. Staff do not learn, adapt, or fatigue — they execute static routines until reassigned.
